Progressive Business

The idea of progressive business is not an entirely new idea. This way of thinking about business challenges the FBL and instead introduces care for stakeholders. The main goals of progressive business include shareholder value maximization as well as initializing social change. However, this is not an absolute theory. It is not entirely up to organizations to create sustainable and meaningful change in our society. Of course their size and influence can effect change and have a larger impact than a small group of individuals could. But it is progressive policies from governmental law that will be the main driver of change. In summary, a progressive business is an incredible asset in driving change, but it is not the main driver of change needed. However, they should still continue to pursue social and ecological well being because their efforts are far from worthless.
